One Pair of Sunglasses
I'm only rich enough to get one pair of prescription sunglasses.
It comes down to a choice between classic, cool, or rad.
Classic is the Ray-Ban wayfarer style, available at any price point from a nearly infinite number of companies. These are my current style and I think they are a solid safe choice.
Cool would be an aviator style. This is a bit more a style choice, and encourages me to wear a mustache.
Rad is some kind of wraparound style, possibly a pair of Oakley's. They give off a lot of personality, and speak to a more active and rad lifestyle.
I'm written more about all these on the blog and I'm open to any questions or comments from the shareholders.

Classic is cool.
Currently voting evenly across all three to make one choice 'fight' to go over the top and decisively win. I'm very unlikely to change my vote. At the time of this comment the ratio is 90% Classic, 94% Cool, 88% Rad. May the best shades win.
I wear a classic cool pair of Jacques Marie Mare (got them pre-Succession), and they are #iykyk cool. Also: designed in LA
@richardwinchell: I will definitely be asking for recommendations based on the winner! everyone should list their sunnies...
Without a goatee to go with those Oakleys there's no way I see myself going for Rad. BUT, I do think it's important to think outside, or on top of, the box. Specifically with clip-ons. If we're considering going full on Aviator + mustache, I would at least like to see an option with clip-ons and facial hair.
Oakleys + Goatee
Take my one measly vote, but personally I think you'll be doing yourself a disservice (or rather, the shareholders will be doing you dirty) if it's anything BUT the "Rads". Classic are boring, Cool are not actually that cool (unless you are an Alaskan State Trooper) and rad are RAD. I rest my case.
I was Classic/Cool but Xtina actually moved me more toward Cool so I changed my vote. I think the K5M brand is not necessarily pit vipers, and for your one pair something like that lacks flexibility. But sunglasses should be a bit of personal style and so Cool makes sense.
Persol has been my go-to since I first saw 8 1/2
They’re also one of the few brands not owned by Luxotica
